WTF survey results
A very unscientific Clear Spot Club survey of 67 people has found the majority of people don’t really know what the fuck they are doing with their lives. Work was the main issue plaguing respondents.
It doesn’t surprise me that work is high up on the list of issues nagging people. It’s a centuries old debate — is work central to life? Some people think it is. Others don’t.
The other issues plaguing people were:
a desire to leave to Sydney but not sure
not following a personal dream
spiritually empty and
nothing, I’m fine.
There were also a range of “other” individual nagging issues. Here are some of their responses.
Respondent 67: Evil runs amok. The planet and the dignity of all the people, animals, plants, and things on it are being trashed by grubby bastards. What world are we bequeathing our children?
Respondent 37: Guilt about not looking after the planet , etc. better
Respondent 31: Wasting my talents
Respondent 29: Lack of community. Old people. Old body. Death of enthusiasm by user pays algorithms.
Respondent 26: I like what I'm doing. I'm just not doing it thoroughly. i'm probably doing too much but this year, I've Marie Kondo'ed a lot of things in my life so it's a bit easier now.
Respondent 6: I need to plan my life after my son grows up. I need to decide on it now, in case it takes few years to prepare for it (eg, I would like to spend few years exploring different countries, but would need to plan and move to Europe to do this - can't afford travel like this if still living in Sydney after retirement)
Respondent 3: Wanting more freedom to do what I want and not just fit into other people’s boxes
Respondent 66: Will I be happy if I'm not rich?
Respondent 39: My house is too small, I have a bad wardrobe., I have zero attention span, I don't have a career, I don't exercise regularly and I don't have enough money.
Respondent 37: I wish i had a romantic partner in life.
Respondent 60: Everything is so big and I am so small ! 🌏
Longer interviews with respondents are coming soon!
